On the southern edge of the rocky Bay of Biscay in northern Spain, Etxaniz has been making the Txakoli varietal since the town of Getaria was originally founded. Located only 100 meters from the Atlantic Ocean, the winery gets plenty of rain and wind across their steep sloping hillside vineyards. That’s the perfect recipe for producing this floral, expressive indigenous white wine that is both citrusy and extremely refreshing.
