Stephane Ogier Cotes du Rhone Le Temps est Venu 2019

“Wine Spectator’s #62 Wine of the Year, 2021 Top 100 List”

This is a delicious Cotes du Rhone from one of France’s very best young winemakers. Stephane Ogier makes really juicy, well-structured wines, with his single-vineyard Côte-Rôties some of the hardest, most expensive bottles to find in the Northern Rhone.

There’s so much to like about his 2019 Le Temps est Venu Cotes du Rhone, including the super modest price tag. It just hits so much above its price tag. This 60% Grenache, 35% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre blend offers delicious crunchy red fruits with silky smooth licorice notes to go along with some sage and baking spice. It’s medium to full-bodied with wonderful natural acidity and nice lift. This is great now and should be great for the next five years, easy.
