Paul Jaboulet Aîné Hermitage La Maison Bleue 2019

Pre-Arrival Offer – Mid-November ETA
94-96 Jeb Dunnuck – 94-96 Wine Advocate

At $180 per bottle, Jaboulet’s Hermitage La Chappelle is one of the top wines of the terrific 2019 vintage. A monumental wine that will need at least a decade in the cellar, and probably won’t reach its prime for a decade after that. It has earned its potentially perfect (98-100) point score! Interested? Scroll down for our pre-arrival offer!

But if you want to know just how great Hermitage can be from this storied estate, but for one third of the price, today’s offer should not be missed! Almost like a second label Bordeaux, this wine brilliantly captures the essence of Syrah grown in the special terroir of the imposing Hermitage hill – and the impeccable Jaboulet quality!

It is also a much more forward and accessible wine in its youth. A couple of years in the cellar would be optimal, then enjoy it for a decade and more. But if you crack one open now, give it an hour’s decanting and kock it back with lamb, game or a steak, you will not be disappointed! Loaded with dark cassis fruit, black olive, pepper, spice and mouth coating opulent fruit, this is without a doubt the best value in Hermitage on the market. Cost less, tastes great – how can you beat that! Pre-sale for arrival in Mid-November. Cheers! Chris

Rated (94-96), Jeb Dunnuck – “Beautiful cassis, truffle, damp earth, and ground pepper emerge from the 2019 Hermitage La Maison Bleue. Coming from the eastern portion of Hermitage Hill, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a rounded, opulent texture, building tannins, and a great finish. It’s certainly in the same league (and style) as the 2018, and while it’s going to drink nicely at a young age, my money is on it evolving gracefully for 20-25 years.” Drink 2020-2045

Rated (94-96), The Wine Advocate – “Even richer, darker and more powerful than the 2018 version, the 2019 Hermitage La Maison Bleue offers up some lifted, minty notes to accent its potent cassis fruit. Dark, dense, and Port-like without being overly heavy or dense, this full-bodied effort is long, intense and concentrated, with softly dusty tannins on the finish. Drink 2022-2035”
