This classic right bank wine is from one of the oldest Estates in Saint Emilion, with part dating back to the 15th century. Since 1924, Château Corbin has been in the hands of the same family. Passed down from generation to generation by female heirs, it is today the property of Anabelle Cruse, the fourth generation, and her husband Sébastien Bardinet.
Deep ruby hue, with an aromatic nose of dark cherry, earth, a hint of oak and vanilla, and spice box. On the palate it is plush and delicious, with ample dark fruit, silky ripe tannins, and a lovely mouthfeel from start to finish. Delicious now, especially with an hour or so in a decanter, it will also drink great for a decade at least.
